 The Tampabay Rays gave us a remarkable 2008 season that no one could have predicted, they made us believe, and they gave us a brighter future to look forward to. The Rays put St Petersburg on the map as the place to be, they help stimulated local businesses, and they gave us hope. Downtown St Petersburg came to life and the energy level was so electrifying inside Tropicana Field that it made you feel as if you were part of the game, it's a lifetime experience that I will never forget. I did talk to several out of state fans they were here for the World Series and they all said that they loved the St Petersburg area and would consider moving here. I see a lot of future upswing in property values for the St Petersburg area and having a winning baseball team in the Rays is a big plus for our area. You can come and celebrate with the Tampabay Rays tonight at North Straub Park in downtown St Petersburg from 4-6pm, Joe Maddon and his players will be there along with other surprise guest appearances.
